This is the best karaoke spot in Orange County. I've been here multiple times before and have only had good experiences. For my group of 12 people, I booked a large room, which was $45/hour but $50/hour if we wanted to bring food/drinks in. I really liked that they offered the option to bring our own stuff in because none of the other karaoke places that I've gone to has allowed outside food and drinks. They also have snacks and drinks at the front desk if you run out of your own. Parking was really easy to find. We stayed from 10 PM - closing and my group had a really fun time. In the room, they provide 2 microphones and an iPad where you can queue songs, which is so much better than a preset list of songs I've seen at other places. For the most part, the place was clean. The only bad thing was that by the end of the night, the girl's bathroom was flooding out into the hallway, which I was a little grossed out by. But other than that, no complaints. When I booked the room, the man who helped me was really friendly and informative and the man who worked the front desk was also really friendly. This is probably the only place I'll be going to for karaoke from now on.

Idol Karaoke is such a fun spot! They have different sized rooms, and I love that you can pick songs on YouTube - the options are endless. Plus, it's BYOB, and you can also bring food in. The staff is super friendly and accommodating, which makes the experience even better. The happy hour discount is such a great deal, and the vibe is super chill. The only downside is that the area outside isn't the most well-lit, so it's good to go with friends. Other than that, it's a fantastic place to let loose and have fun singing your heart out. Definitely recommend for a fun night out!

Service was great! Front desk gentleman was respectful & attentive! Love the atmosphere! Was there to celebrate my daughter's birthday & got a lil birthday room! Amazing & would definitely go again. There's no food but drinks are available upon purchase. One great thing is you're allow to bring your own food & drinks with a small fee.

Best karaoke spot ever!!! Front desk guy was soooo nice. The rooms are nice and the karaoke machine is great! Plays YouTube and has big song selections. I will be back!

My friends and I have come here several times, with fairly large groups of 8+ people - this is one of the only places we've come back to more than once. One nice thing about this place is you can call in advance to reserve space which is something some places don't always do, and it make planning for a night out much easier. The pricing is extremely fair and honestly one of the best value places you can find unless you're running it at home with your own system. The service here is excellent and they are very responsive whenever you need anything - be it help with technical issues or trying to schedule additional time they are very willing to help out! As other reviews have said there's no food or drink sold, but you can pay a fee and bring your own - which is something my friends and I prefer to do anyways (just takes a bit more planning). They also have the youtube search setup where you can search for songs and it's not just a preset song deck, so you have much more choice than some other places in this regard as well. We will definitely be coming back - and this review has been long overdue!

Idol Karaoke is a Viet-run karaoke shop in Koreatown Garden Grove. It isn't in the cleanest and most lit area, but just come with friends and you'll feel fine and safe. Didn't encounter any rudeness and the place was clean when we were there. Three things that make this place stand apart: - Only $5 upcharge to bring your own food and alcohol. Great for celebrating birthdays or anything like that, as it's easy to bring in a whole cake inside. - Happy hour is amazing for your friend group's wallet. Just gotta start the party a little earlier lol - The karaoke system!! Yes, it has a standard Karaoke library that is updated regularly, similar to the Korean and Chinese places, but it ALSO has YouTube. As someone who doesn't listen to popular music anymore, this opens up a whole world for me. Wanna sing to some random indie artist from the UK? Yup, it's there. Jazz? Sure. What about that French song from Ratatouille- of course you can. Everything is on that little iPad. It's similar to how you can pull up YouTube Karaoke on your SmartTV, except the Karaoke vibes are much better here. My only complaint: I wish we had more control with the way the microphones sounded. I really wanted to lessen the echo and increase clarity with them. This fix will get me coming back even more often.

The gentleman at the front desk was so nice and respectful! Unfortunately, no food or drinks sold here but you can bring your own outside food and alcohol for an additional $5 on top of your hourly rate. The staff also cleans up your room, so we didn't feel pressured to make time for cleaning during our reservation. We rented the large room which costs $45 an hour and then the additional $5 fee for outside food, resulting in $50/hr rate. :) pretty good! The staff let us decorate the room too with happy birthday balloons. I'm also pleased that there is a fairly large options of songs to sing! It's a tablet that you search music from in YouTube. I would definitely recommend this karaoke spot to everyone! Just be prepared to bring your own food and drinks.
